Dhan Samvaad Program
The Dhan Samvaad Program is a financial literacy and digital awareness initiative by Mahindra Finance, implemented by Sakshi in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. The program is designed to promote inclusive economic growth by equipping economically vulnerable communities with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed financial decisions and confidently engage in the digital economy.
Sakshi works directly with gig workers, nano and micro entrepreneurs, and self-employed individuals such as drivers, fleet operators, small-scale farmers, street vendors, boutique owners, masons, artisans, and other professionals whose financial health is often undermined by limited access to formal systems and trusted information.
Strengthen Financial Literacy
Educate communities on budgeting, savings, responsible borrowing, and managing debt.
Promote Digital Financial Tools
Enable understanding and hands-on use of platforms like UPI, DigiLocker, digital wallets, and mobile banking apps.
Improve Access to Government Schemes
Raise awareness and simplify access to initiatives such as ABHA Card, E-Shram, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
Foster Behavioral Change
Encourage long-term shifts in financial decision-making through interactive sessions, real-life examples, and peer engagement.
Dhan Samvaad's strong emphasis on behavioral change distinguishes it. The sessions are interactive, contextual, and delivered in local languages, supporting participants in internalising and applying what they learn. Real-life scenarios, community storytelling, and peer-led models challenge harmful financial myths and instill practical decision-making habits.
Through Dhan Samvaad, Mahindra Finance and Sakshi are working hand-in-hand to bridge the gap between financial access and financial agency, laying the groundwork for more secure, informed, and self-reliant communities.
