for LEAD by CNH
In 2022, Sakshi impanelled with CASE Constructions, a brand of CNH Industrial, as their Implementing Partner for the LEAD (Livelihood & Entrepreneurship Awareness Development) Project.
The LEAD project was initiated to encourage entrepreneurship among rural youth in India. Through awareness campaigns, the project highlights alternative avenues for income generation in the agriculture and infrastructure sectors. As a part of helping young entrepreneurs manage their businesses, the project also emphasizes building up their establishments to be safe and enriching places for everyone.
Sakshi brings the expertise needed for this element of the project. Using our strengths in gender-centric training, we educate and empower emerging business owners to make their workplaces inclusive and free from harassment. We are involved in building awareness about government schemes and workplace compliances (POSH and POCSO) for the youth who form the center of the LEAD project.
What We Do
Sakshi has partnered with LEAD to strengthen livelihood through a boost in rural entrepreneurship for rural youth. Additionally, they’re being made aware about compliance requirements under POSH and POCSO in order to create a cadre of young entrepreneurs equipped with the knowledge and resources to prevent gender-based violence.
Sakshi's philosophy is based on the understanding that equality is the ground we walk on, and not a goal we aspire towards. Through its work, Sakshi is focused on crafting a process of change from the conceptual to the implementation level in order to respond effectively to violations of the Constitutional Right to Equality.
